3 months in Akasya becomes Liverpool’s Number 1 restaurant
As we come off the back of a busy bank holiday weekend the team behind Akasya, a brand-new concept Turkish restaurant, are pleased to now be officially Liverpool’s number 1 restaurant on Trip Advisor.
Located in the former home of noted designer boutique Giancarlo Ricci, Akasya’s prominent location on Bold Street has seen it become a welcome addition to one of the city’s best food and drink locations.
Set over two floors, with 200 covers, Akasya has created a bustling and vibrant theme, based around contemporary Turkish cuisine, with a traditional grill, tasty baklava menu and laid-back cocktails to complete the restaurant’s authentic experience. Dishes range from lamb chops and adana made on the charcoal grill to specials such as beyti and guvec,
Owner, Yunus Emre Ugur, who has many years in the restaurant industry is so pleased to finally be able to open the doors after what has been a long and difficult time for all in the hospitality industry. Especially to be opening a new venture during an international pandemic.
Yunus said:
“ The whole team and I are overwhelmed by hitting the Number 1 spot in such a short period of time. We literally opened 3 months ago and it’s been fantastic to welcome in customers, with so many becoming regulars. As well as the great authentic Turkish food we make I think the cocktails and bar area have added to the customer experience as many stay behind after eating for drinks. “
The restaurant is open from 12-11pm Monday through Sunday.
