Cult favourite invites guests to shake, flavour, and remix their order like never before

Archie’s, the much-loved burger and milkshake restaurant, is shaking up the fry game with the launch of its brand-new Shaker Fries range, bringing a fresh, customisable twist to one of Britain’s favourite snacks.

Inspired by the nostalgic Smith’s Salt n’ Shake crisps, the new Shaker Fries have been two years in the making. The concept stems from Archie’s mission to recapture the joy of the snacks so many grew up loving. But unlike other recent shake-and-season launches that lean into polarising flavours, Archie’s took a different route: focusing on the tastes guests actually crave. Working with flavour specialists, they’ve created six original blends that deliver that nostalgic hit with a signature Archie’s edge,  with further exciting options in development. 

Launching with Ramen Noodles, Mango Habanero, Nashville Hot, Hot Honey, Smokey BBQ, and Sweet Churros – the Shaker Fries let guests call the shots. Priced at £4.50 for a shareable portion, just pour in a sachet, shake and flavour to taste. The range spans savoury, spicy, and sweet, offering something for every craving.

The sachets are also sold separately for £1, giving guests the freedom to experiment across the entire menu. That could mean tossing crispy wings and fries in Ramen Noodle seasoning with a drizzle of Dynamite sauce to recreate an Asian-style spice bag; pairing Hot Honey fries and tenders with Blue Cheese dip for the perfect sweet-meets-fiery combo; or going all-in on dessert by dipping Sweet Churro fries in Lotus Biscoff sauce and soft-serve ice cream. 

Shaker Fries tap into the rising trend of menu hacking, where diners customise meals by combining different menu items to create their own “secret menu” experiences. What started as a social-media-driven phenomenon has become a mainstream expectation, with industry research showing that made-to-order and personalised options have grown in popularity in recent years. Social platforms like TikTok have amplified this trend, with millions of users sharing creative hacks and combinations.

“This is one of the most exciting and innovative product launches we’ve ever introduced,” said Imran Rafiq, Creative Director at Archie’s. “We’ve taken something everyone loves and made it interactive, with bold, versatile flavours. The seasonings work very well on fries, but you can also use them on our wings, tots, or anything else you fancy. We know guests want more ways to personalise their meals and enjoy our menu, and Shaker Fries do exactly that.”

The introduction of Shaker Fries marks another bold step in the brand’s evolution, following a major refresh of Archie’s menu, with updated favourites, new additions and an expanded range of sauces. Shaker Fries pair perfectly with the brand’s extensive dip line-up, allowing for hundreds of different flavour combinations with favourites like Star Sauce, Pink Mayo, Mango Habanero, and Black Truffle Mayo.

Shaker Fries are a permanent menu addition, reflecting Archie’s focus on fresh, indulgent food and memorable experiences. Available now across all locations and exclusively on Deliveroo. Launching on Tuesday 9th December.
