Bundobust launch the Bombay Sandwich and their spiciest giveway yet
This January, Indian street food and craft beer connoisseurs, Bundobust, are bursting out of the gates with new limited edition specials and a spicy January giveaway.
Find the new specials serving across their Leeds, Liverpool and Bundobust Brewery restaurants from 6th January, with their Manchester Piccadilly site joining the party from 7th January, and running until 31st January.
Delving deep into Indian street food folklore, Bundobust introduces your new favourite sandwich in the shape of BOMBAY SANDWICH. Derived from the streets of Mumbai, Bundo’s rendition is a grilled sandwich packed with potato and spinach, green chutney, cucumber, red onion, tomato, and vegan cheddar. Seasoned with the cult umami-like Indian spice mix, chaat masala, for a zingy lilt and served with SAMBHAR – a lentil, aubergine and bottle gourd soup. Everything you need for Indo-dip toasted sandwich success – and it’s vegan! Available Sunday-Friday 12-4pm.
Tingle your taste buds with STUFFED CHILLI. A full-to-bursting green sweet chilli stuffed with spiced potato in a crispy gram flour batter and served with mango chutney dip. An Indian deli counter staple, this dish draws inspiration from Bundobust’s parent restaurant Prashad and the stuffed chilli from their formative deli days in mid-’90s Bradford. Vegan, gluten free.
Another new dish for January is PUNJABI KADI. An early Bundo special rebooted for January. Moong dhal pakoras simmered in a garam massala, yoghurt and gram flour curry. A perfect warming, winter dish. Lightly sour, spiced and luxuriantly creamy. Gluten free.
With a new year comes reflection. Bundobust have revisited two crowd favourites to turn the flavour up to eleven with new and improved dish recipes. EGG BHURJI now showcases cumin and green chilli spiced scrambled eggs with a fresh hit of green peas and coriander. 2023’s new recipe PANEER KADAI features paneer cheese simmered in rich mixed pepper and tomato sauce with onions, deggi mirch and kasturi methi. Both are served with bhatura. Same great taste…just better.
Veganuary participants will be greeted by Bundobust’s year-round sprawling plant-based offering. 75% of the Indian street food restaurant’s food menu is always vegan and 100% vegetarian.
