Celebrating Bold Street Programme announced
Data shows rain didn’t deter visitors with footfall jump for Castle Street event
The first details are revealed for Celebrating Bold Street on Sunday 17th August, as footfall data shows that the first of Liverpool BID’s summer events saw an increase in footfall.
Celebrating Castle Street kicked off the summer’s events celebrating the culture and businesses of the city centre’s streets last Sunday. Liverpool’s BID’s data shows a 25% increase in footfall compared with 2024 (when the event was cancelled) and a 7.8% increase in footfall compared with 2023.
Chloe Gaughan from Liverpool BID organises the summer events and says,
“The number of visitors shows that people really enjoy these special events no matter the weather. The increase in footfall year on year reflects the enthusiasm and the desire to enjoy the culture and hospitality on our city centre streets. We want to create something for everyone and the expanding programme shows that. We’d like to extend our thanks to the businesses who took part on Castle Street., and to those who are preparing for Bold Street”.
