Liverpool digital agency, Connect has designed, built and is hosting a new website for North West Air Ambulance Charity; the new site was launched on August 2 2021.

The North West Air Ambulance Charity’s helicopters and rapid response vehicles operate 365 days a year. Highly skilled specialist doctors and HEMS paramedics are on board, providing pre-hospital care and hospital transfers to patients across the entire North West region each year – an area covering 5,500 square miles and over 8 million people.

North West Air Ambulance Charity relies on its website to inform the public about the life saving difference they make and effectively engage with their supporters. This is essential as, completely charity-funded, the North West Air Ambulance Charity is solely reliant on public and corporate donations to keep the service operational, needing to raise over £9.5 million a year to support its lifesaving service.

North West Air Ambulance Charity wanted a new site that ensures their stakeholders understand who they are, what they do and the lifesaving different they make. The new website raises awareness and will generate income so that the charity can maximise their lifesaving impact. Connect has provided them with an engaging and impactful website that will help them achieve their goal to reach supporters and stakeholders across the region.

Alongside awareness raising, visitors to the site can also play the charity’s lottery, purchase items from their shop, learn about ways to support them through volunteering and find out what donations to the charity are used for.

Connect’s Managing Director, Janet Symes says:

“We are very proud to have worked in partnership with the charity to help them increase their presence. We hope that the site will encourage the public to continue to raise vital funds to help them with the incredible life saving work that they undertake.”

Emma Peacock, Head of Marketing and Communications for the North West Air Ambulance Charity says:

Working with Connect, we are proud to have developed a website which successfully engages with our amazing supporters. From inspiring patient stories, to a new donation experience, information about our crew, and the enhanced pre-hospital care we provide to patients who need us the most, the site really does demonstrate the lifesaving impact our service has across the North West. We have already received fantastic feedback from our supporters, which has been great to hear. View the site and find out more about the charity, which receives no government or NHS funding, and relies solely on the support of the people of the North West.”
