dot-art Schools winning artwork hits the streets!
We’re excited to announce that dot-art Schools 2021 winning young artists’ works will feature in the busy shopping area of Church Street, Liverpool in the run up to Christmas and in the new year.
Taking over a hoarding on a retail unit we worked with designer Thom Isom to create a vinyl design showcasing the diverse range of each schools’ winning students’ artwork. It’s a wonderful, accessible way to showcase the artwork of talented children and young people who take part in the annual competition to such a large audience. dot-art Schools is grateful to receive funding through the Welcome Back Fund via the European Regional Development Fund and for the support of Liverpool BID Company and Marketing Liverpool helping us fly the flag for creativity within our City.
Bill Addy, Chief Executive, Liverpool BID Company:
“I am delighted to see this artwork on Church Street. The way we animate buildings along this central thoroughfare helps to make it a brighter and more engaging space. The fact that this work showcases the next generation of great artists from Liverpool makes it even more special. Art, particularly art in the public realm, is an important part of our work at BID and we hope our festive shoppers will enjoy seeing this as they browse our famous high street”.
Please tag us if you do a social post featuring the display @dotartschools @LpoolBIDcompany @LpoolMarketing, we’d love to see your photos!
Teachers can sign their school up to join dot-art Schools 10th birthday competition until 16 of January.
