Get free bike checks this summer!

8 September @ 08:30 - 11:30

As part of its commitment to improving road safety and supporting active travel, Liverpool City Council is working in partnership with Cycling UK to deliver a series of free “Dr Bike” drop-in sessions across the city, to the end of September.

The sessions give cyclists the opportunity to have their bike checked by experts at no cost, helping ensure it is safe and roadworthy. Participants can also pick up practical advice on cycling safely and sharing the road with other users.

As well as promoting the benefits of cycling the Council is also highlighting the importance of road safety for everyone using the city’s streets, encouraging road users to familiarise themselves with the Highway Code.

Whether walking, wheeling, cycling or driving, everyone has a role to play in creating a safer environment for all.

The Code recognises that pedestrians, cyclists and other vulnerable road users should be given priority, while those operating larger vehicles have the greatest responsibility for reducing danger on the roads.
