Remembrance Service at Exchange Flags

11 November @ 11:00 - 11:30

Remembrance Service

Exchange Flags

11 am, 11th November

Liverpool’s business community will gather for an Act of Remembrance on Friday 11 November.

This year’s Act of Remembrance will take place at Exchange Flags in conjunction with the International Cotton Association (ICA). Inviting businesses to remember all those who have fought and died in conflict, the Act of remembrance will include the 2 minute silence which will begin and end with a bugle call. Sentries and Reverand Canon will attend from St Nicholas Liverpool Parish Church.

The Memorial statue at Exchange Flags was commissioned by the ICA in 1922, with an accompanying bronze plaque dedicated to the 423 men from the association who lost their lives during both World Wars.

The remembrance service is open to all those who wish to pay their respects to those who gave their lives in defence of liberty, and to acknowledge those serving officers active today in pursuit of the same. The ICA works closely with local organisations to make sure our service is a fitting tribute to all those that have bravely fought and continue to fight for their country. They include The Lieutenancy of Merseyside, Liverpool BID Company, Liverpool Chamber of Commerce, Exchange Flags, the Kings Regiment and the Liverpool Pals Memorial Fund.

Please join to to mark your respect.

A poppy drop will mark the end of the service.
