Friday 14th February features four wonderful experiences: Celebration and Prix Fixe menus are on offer, plus Afternoon Tea and an intimate experience with Penhaligon’s
Valentine’s Day at The Art School this year takes place on Friday 14th February and Chef Patron Paul Askew and his team are ready to welcome everyone wishing to celebrate this very special day in Liverpool.
Valentine’s Day is always one of the biggest days in the gastronomic calendar. This February, The Art School will immerse guests in the exquisite splendour and beautiful details of their Sugnall Street home. Paul continues to champion and represent the city region’s independent suppliers, dedicated to seasonality and sustainability through his world-class gastronomy, alongside a global wine list from some of the finest vineyards. The Art School’s 10th anniversary year also continues, which officially began in September 2024 and continues this year.
For Valentine’s Day, a lunch and early evening prix fixe service is available, followed by a Celebration Menu for the complete taster experience. Both are available with an optional wine flight to enhance even further this most romantic of occasions. Then over in The Moriarty Room, The Art School is celebrating love in all of its wondrous forms with Penhaligon’s and their elegant fragrances, and the opportunity to experience the dark allure of Halfeti, the captivating boldness of Duchess Rose or the exquisite Liquid Love, three of their iconic fragrances. A three-course menu including drinks and a Penhaligon’s voucher is included. And downstairs in The Art School Cellars, there’s a Valentine’s Afternoon Tea service from 2-4pm and a live singer from 6-10pm for pre and post-dinner drinks.
Paul Askew says: “Valentine’s Day always comes around fast and it’s one of my favourite celebrations and this year we’ve got a packed restaurant. Liverpool is a city that loves to celebrate and Valentine’s Day is always very special. We continue to celebrate our 10th anniversary too, which started in September last year. It’s a truly momentous occasion of which myself and my team are immensely proud. And on top of this, we’ve got Mother’s Day in March and in April we return for our fourth year at The Grand National in April at Topham House. More events will be announced in due course and there’s much to look forward to in 2025.”
