Gino D’Acampo Confirms Plans to Open a Second Restaurant in Liverpool, at the Much-Anticipated INNSiDE Liverpool
Gino D’Acampo has confirmed that he plans to open a second restaurant in the heart of Liverpool, Gino D’Acampo Old Hall Street Restaurant and panoramic Sky Bar.
The opening at the much-anticipated INNSiDE Liverpool hotel will, upon launch, be Gino’s third collaboration with INNSiDE by Meliá, part of Spain’s largest hotel group Meliá Hotels International, and follows news that the two world-class brands have united to create an exciting new hospitality empire. Gino D’Acampo Quayside opened at INNSiDE Newcastle last month, with Gino’s expert team having also taken over the food and beverage operations at INNSiDE Manchester.
The news comes almost four years to follow the arrival of the UK’s favourite Italian chef in the city, with the doors to the hugely popular, award-winning Gino D’Acampo My Restaurant on Castle Street having opened in July 2017.
Gino D’Acampo Old Hall Street, opening in conjunction with INNSiDE Liverpool on August 16, is set to bring a further touch of style to the city, serving Mediterranean cuisine and premium drinks in a chic and contemporary setting.
Key features will include a beautiful, open-plan 200-cover restaurant, an impressive open theatre style kitchen, two private dining rooms, and a 60-cover long bar within the hotel’s impressive open bar and lounge, for both hotel and restaurant guests to enjoy. Local resident DJ’s will see in guests’ mornings and weekends.
Further raising the bar for drinking and dining in Liverpool will be the opening of Gino’s new 360-degree Sky Bar on the 17th floor of the hotel.
Providing seating for 100 guests, an extensive selection of premium international wines and cocktails from Gino’s experienced team of mixologists, simple but brilliant Cicchetti (Italian small plates), and unrivalled panoramic views of the city and beyond, it promises to be one of the city’s most desirable locations, with local resident DJ’s further elevating the atmosphere from day to night.
Those attending the hotel for a celebratory or business function will also have the opportunity to enjoy a taste of the chef’s culinary expertise with a number of banquet and delegate menus created by Gino’s team of talented executive development chefs available to experience in all seven of INNSiDE Liverpool’s adaptable meeting rooms, including the Big Idea Space, The News Room, The Printing Press and The Post Room; providing a nod to the building’s heritage.
A dedicated events floor with capacity for over 340 guests and providing a separate dining breakout space is ideal for businesses looking to host large scale gatherings.

“This is our third collaborative site, and we couldn’t be prouder to bring INNSiDE Liverpool and Gino D’Acampo Old Street to the city. And not forgetting the 360 Sky Bar – a must-see bar in its own right – I haven’t seen views of Liverpool like this before, the views are simply amazing from the hotel’s 17th floor.”
The 207-room lifestyle hotel offers an eclectic home-from-home feel for guests to explore Liverpool’s city centre. With each stay enriched with music, art and literature, all curated by the hotel’s local experts, it’s the ideal setting for guests to slip seamlessly from work to play.
