Liverpool’s Accommodation Business Improvement District (ABID) is recruiting new Board members to help lead the next phase of development for the city’s accommodation and hospitality sector.

We are seeking applications from across Liverpool’s accommodation community, including waterfront hotels, city centre hotels, hotels around the Baltic area, Ropewalks and Mount Pleasant, boutique and heritage properties near the Georgian/Knowledge Quarter.  We’re also interested in hearing from airport hotels, as well as hotels in wider Liverpool neighbourhoods and outer areas.

We’re also seeking applications from the serviced apartment sector and hostel/budget accommodation providers, ensuring these fast-growing parts of the market have a strong voice on the Board.

Board members will serve a three-year term that will meet quarterly.  There also be opportunities to represent ABID at industry events, stakeholder forums and external meetings that support the delivery of our Business Plan.

We welcome applicants who can bring insight, experience and ambition from within Liverpool’s accommodation sector. You do not need to meet every competency listed in the role specification HERE. What matters is the contribution you can make to the Board’s collective expertise and your commitment to representing the sector as a whole.

How to Apply
Please submit a short statement outlining:

  • Your current role and organisation
  • The type of accommodation you represent (e.g., city centre hotel, waterfront hotel, airport hotel, serviced apartments, etc.)
  • The insight and experience you would bring to the Board
  • Why you would like to join the ABID Board

Applications should be sent to [email protected] by 31st December, 2025.
