Liverpool’s Metquarter will open its doors tomorrow (Friday 12 November) to contemporary menswear brand MARAI. Situated on the ground floor of the centre, the store will join a host of other high-end retailers, the LMA educational campus and Liverpool’s largest food hall, GPO, as Metquarter completes its redevelopment.

Formed in 2018 and with over 35 years of retail experience, owner Martin Webster and his team set out to create a high-quality menswear brand offering stylish, functional, trans-seasonal clothing. MARAI’s core offering is timeless pieces that can be worn day to night, all year round, for any occasion.

Alongside these core pieces is a range of mercerised cotton printed t-shirts, technical jackets and piqué garments. These regularly updated staples help style-conscious customers to keep their look sharp with new, top-quality pieces.

MARAI owner Martin Webster said:

“Being from Liverpool, opening our Flagship store in the Metquarter feels like a long awaited homecoming after 35 years in the industry. We are beyond excited to be able display our clothing alongside so many other thriving businesses, truly emphasising that quality breeds quality. That’s what MARAI sets out to do in the Metquarter”.

Jennina O’Neill, Metquarter Centre Manager said:

“Premium, local brands will always have a home at Metquarter. We’re champions of independent fashion, and MARAI’s arrival represents another quality choice for discerning shoppers visiting the centre.

We’re delighted with the transformation of the centre in recent years. Over the last five years, the building has been successfully repurposed and remixed to become a creative community housing learning, art, fashion, street food and entertainment under one roof. It’s a really exciting time for Metquarter and the arrival of Everyman Cinema and GPO means we can also offer our visitors a family friendly venue that provides hours of fun for families, couples and friends.”
