“On 14th November Liverpool Dementia Action Alliance is celebrating its 10th anniversary with a celebratory conference at the Museum of Liverpool. The event will be looking back at their first decade of achievements as well as looking forward to future priorities and challenges. Sponsorship and assistance is being provided by Liverpool BID, Liverpool Football Club, Onward Homes, Apollo Care, Liverpool John Moores University and House of Memories, all of whom are members of the Alliance.
LDAA is a federation of over 90 organisations, businesses and services – large and small, public and commercial – dedicated to promoting dementia awareness, campaigning for improved support services and advocating for dementia-friendly policies. They have run a wide range of conferences and training events including a major symposium at Liverpool Town Hall for city-centre businesses, helping them to understand how to better serve their customers affected by dementia and family carers.
Membership is free and includes entitlement to attend quarterly networking and information-sharing meetings. For more details or to ask for advice on dementia matters contact ldaa@dementiaactionliverpool.com. “
