Community Suicide prevention Training – No More Suicide

We are delighted to announce that we have been commissioned by Liverpool City Council to deliver a suicide prevention project within the city of Liverpool. In September 2023 the Government released their new nation strategy for suicide prevention recommendations were made that workforces should have a suicide prevention training. Therefore we have commissioned Wirral mind to deliver a community level suicide prevention training – Called No More Suicide. This is a free course for those working within Liverpool city council footprint.
About the Course:
- A full day training course the morning session is a self-directed e- learning module with an online group session in the afternoon.
Who it’s for?:
- The package is suitable for anyone who works in a public facing role.
What you’ll learn?
The aim of the training is to:
- Increase your understanding and knowledge of practical suicide prevention techniques.
- Recognise risk
- Develop skills to be able to have clear direct conversations.
- Know what support is available in your community.
The Live Session hosted on Zoom which offers a combination of interactive discussion and activities designed to increase your confidence in relation to supporting someone who is feeling suicidal.
