Yorkshire Building Society and Citizens Advice Partnership
We can all face problems that seem complicated or intimidating and the cost-of-living crisis is hitting people hard.
That’s why Yorkshire Building Society and Citizens Advice launched an innovative partnership at eighteen of the Society’s branches across Yorkshire and the North West, including Liverpool Branch, on Lord Street. Yorkshire Building Society is funding Citizens Advice advisers to hold free, confidential appointments 2 day a week, open to anyone in the community, not just Yorkshire Building Society customers.
Citizens Advice advisers will offer independent advice in private meeting rooms in the Liverpool branch to assist people with a wide range of issues, including financial well-being, to help them find a way forward. If you or any of your colleagues, friends or family members are struggling to find a way forward, please let them know about this free service in the city centre .
Jo Harris, manager of the Yorkshire Building Society branch in Liverpool said:
“Since the beginning of our partnership with Citizens Advice, I have been genuinely shocked about some of the stories I have heard. The issues that some local people are facing daily are at times beyond belief and the scariest aspect for me is that often they feel they have no support network or anywhere to turn for advice.”
Each private and confidential appointment is up to 60 minutes long and can be booked directly by contacting the Liverpool branch on 0151 515 0437. For more information please click here www.ybs.co.uk/citizens-advice or contact the Liverpool branch manager Jo at JLharris@ybs.co.uk.
