We are looking for passionate and committed new board members to join the Retail & Leisure District BID Operating Board and support the delivery of the 2018 – 2023 Retail & Leisure BID Business Plan which represents a £3.5m investment in improving the trading environment of its BID Levy Payers.

The Retail & Leisure BID (Business Improvement District) Operating Board’s purpose is to oversee the strategic direction of the Retail & Leisure BID; ensuring projects as outlined in the 5-year business plan are delivered within budget to meet the needs of the BID levy paying businesses making certain the BID performs its role effectively and fairly.

We want to hear from senior decision makers from organisations that reflect the diverse businesses and membership within the BID Area who want to give back to the community and help improve the Retail & Leisure BID Area.

Ideally we are seeking applications from the sectors below:

  • Retail
  • Leisure and hospitality
  • Accommodation
  • Culture and attractions
  • Service/Office
  • Independents

Board members are expected to attend four quarterly meetings per year as well additional forums based on their individual backgrounds and skill sets. Board members are expected to take a leading role along in assisting the BID team develop and drive initiatives within the main priorities for the district.
