You’re Safe Here is an accreditation that tells visitors to your business that your staff know what to do should they need help, feel unsafe or are victims of a crime.

We have partnered with LCR Pride Foundation, to bring our BID levy payers free ‘You’re Safe Here’ training, providing customer-facing staff members with an understanding of what to do if someone approaches them and asks for help or advice.

During the one hour session we will cover the specially designed You’re Safe Here process, what a Hate Crime is, as well as what happens when you report something to the police or a third party. There will also be time allowed for questions and discussion.

The training is delivered by LCR Pride Foundation, the region’s LGBT+ charity, with input from Merseyside Police and the Police and Crime Commissioner for Merseyside.

This training has been extended to enable retail and commercial businesses to access this for free, thanks to funding from ourselves here at Liverpool BID Company. These sessions are scheduled in the heart of the Retail & Leisure BID and Culture & Commerce BID areas.
