Three main ways businesses can get involved with River of Light 2023 for free!

Harnessing the success of previous years, River of Light, will see our city illuminated with show-stopping installations from Friday 27th October until Sunday 5th November. Culture Liverpool will be lighting up locations including Pierhead, The Strand, Liverpool ONE, Royal Albert Dock, Exchange Flags and Castle Street

The Visit Liverpool team will be leading on marketing and communications plus we have a dedicated PR agency to ensure this is the biggest campaign we’ve delivered and all partners are supported throughout.

River of Light partner opportunities

We have three ways you can get involved in supporting River of Light, let us know of at least one of the following sparks your interest.

In venue promotion. Anywhere you have space available, we’ll provide artwork.  Tabletop flyers, digital screens, welcome areas, guest itinerary’s, poster sites weekend planners. Campaign will go live from mid-September.

Festival menu. Special food or drink items available during the event time that can be promoted. It doesn’t need to be extensive or in addition to your menu, perhaps a mere twist on something you offer, luxury hot chocolate to grab on the go before enjoying the light installations.

Actively engage.  If your venue wants to directly engage visitors, you are very welcome to work with us to run family friendly activities such as craft tables, colouring competitions, or something online, that we can pre-promote ahead of and run during the event.

River of Light brings mass audiences to the city year on year, its free and it’s for everyone. Autumn is cold and dark and this event really does bring people out into the city.  Last year, 80% of people who attended rated us good or excellent. Plus, 62% of visitors went to a restaurant or café and 22% included a drink in a bar as part of their event.
