McCooleys on Mathew Street / Stanley Street in the Cavern Quarter has been a popular place for food and drink for lovers of sport and live music since opening in November 2017. But did you know they had extended the site to include a rooftop terrace?

The venue which has a sister site on the other side of town in Concert Square is a popular destination with the city’s Irish community and students alike and now from midday every weekend, while the sun is shining at least, you can enjoy a Guinness on the rooftop. June has been glorious so far and the rooftop is a hidden oasis in the heart of one of the busiest and liveliest streets in the city.

The rooftop has a capacity over around 150 and General Manager of McCooleys Pio Murray said:

“We will be opening the rooftop for weekends and for bank holidays for now. It’s going to be a great summer of sports with the Ashes now underway, so it’s great we have some additional outdoor space to use across the Summer months”
