The Vegan Steak Bake is back! Greggs has announced the return of the much-loved Vegan Steak Bake to shops nationwide from tomorrow, in time for Veganuary. Much to the delight of the UK’s vegans, flexitarians and general pastry fans, the bake is making a comeback from Thursday 4th January, priced from just £2.

The Vegan Steak Bake first launched in January 2020, as a sequel to the hugely successful Vegan Sausage Roll which launched a year earlier, with Greggs holding a late-night drop for the brand new bake on New Years Day. Greggs’ Grainger Street shop in Newcastle was transformed with blacked out windows and royal blue ropes as hundreds of devoted vegans, and Greggs fans alike, flocked to queue with camping chairs to ensure their first taste of the highly anticipated Vegan Steak Bake.

Due to high demand, the leading food-on-the-go retailer subsequently launched a ‘Vegan Steak Bake Finder’ on its app to help fanatics track down availability in their closest Greggs shop.

For those looking to get their Greggs fix this Veganuary, there is a whole range of other vegan-friendly items available for customers to enjoy including the iconic Vegan Sausage Roll, Glazed Ring Doughnut, Sweet Potato and Onion Bhaji Rice Box, and Southern Fried Potato Wedges.

The food on-the-go retailer also offers a variety of vegan breakfast options, including the Vegan Sausage Breakfast Roll and Hash Browns – perfect for those wanting to enjoy a meat-free breakfast.
