As part of our BID Safety Partnership, Liverpool BID Company funds two full-time Merseyside Police Officers, who provide our BID Levy Payers with a direct response to non-emergency enquiries about safety, anti-social behaviour and security issues 7 days a week.

We asked a member of staff at Vision Express to tell us their experience with the support and assistance they have received from our BID Police Team recently.

How does the BID Police Team benefit your business?

Liverpool BID Company, in particular the BID Police Team, Dave and Darren, have benefited us massively over the last year whilst we have been under threat of repetitive theft. When we were first targeted for shop theft they came in to our store to take statements, very timely and efficiently, which reassured our staff. They have kept us updated all the way through the journey.
What would your business be like be like without the BID Safety Partnership?

Without the support of the BID Safety Partnership, we would be worried and stressed at work if we didn’t have the BID Police Team to help us. We have direct contact with them if needed, and of course they advise us to contact Merseyside Police directly in the matter of emergencies. The Radio Link has helped us to report any theft in store to other businesses and also makes us aware of any potential incidents in the area.
Why would you encourage other businesses to get involved with BID Safety Partnership

I think it is a good idea for all stores to have access to the BID Safety Partnership services as it provides security and peace of mind for stores.
