On Monday 3 June, witness the spectacular naming ceremony of Cunard’s newest ship, Queen Anne, in a unique celebration at the Pier Head.
The festivities kick off at 2:30pm with street theatre and choir performances.
The official naming ceremony will begin from 4pm where hosts Emma and Matt Willis will be joined on stage by special guests and the official Godparent for the naming of Queen Anne. An impressive line-up of Liverpool’s finest talent, including the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra and performers from the Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts will take to the stage before the ceremony draws to a close with a short performance from operatic superstar Andrea Bocelli.
And the celebrations don’t stop there! Stick around the Pier Head for more pop-up street performances before the evening entertainment starts at 8:30pm with the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra, the Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts, and DJ Lauren Lo Sung. The party will keep going wth a lively funk and soul set by Craig Charles until the firework finale when Queen Anne departs.
This event is free and open to all.
